The more of your brain that you use, the more engaged you are. I've also found that the more engaged I am, the happier I am. Making things is fun...even if you aren't good at it. I have many forms of creative expression and I believe all of them contribute to my mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness which is the definition of self-care.
